When CNC Event Design first approached me about photographing a sun-kissed bridal inspiration shoot, I was sold on the name alone. To add a little context, we shot it on January 13th so anything with the word “sun” sounded pretty great. To Chloe and Cassey, sunset colors for a wedding translated into soft hues, brushed gold and the perfect amount of twinkle. Take a look…
As a photographer, I love to shoot during “the golden hour”. You know, that magical time before sunset and after sunrise, when the light is soft and ethereal. It translates beautifully on camera and I think Chloe and Cassey brought that same aesthetic inside Alloy. They set the tone with delicate florals, shimmering gold and crystal goblets for toasting. Every element from the toffee roses to the bride’s flowing gown was thoughtfully chosen and brought undeniable warmth to Alloy’s modern space. With a subtle nod to the sun, the signature globe light fixture was the perfect complement to the head table.
Gold – a timeless choice
Gold is a timeless choice for any color palette but there were a few elements that I was particularly smitten with:
-
- brushed gold metallic chargers
- sleek gold flatware
- gold-lettered menus with a custom seal
- sophisticated florals in caramel, soft peach and white
- pearls and gold for the bridal accessories from Joanna Bisley Design
I’ve had the pleasure of working CNC Event Design on a few projects. Here’s a modern inspiration shoot with subtle touches of old-world charm, if you’d like to see.
