How it came to be?
Lis Simon was founded in 2009 by a husband and wife team. It all started in a small apartment in Calgary, Alberta. The inspiration for Lis Simon came from a childhood love of weddings. In fact, the name Lis Simon is derived from the two childhood stuffies that our co-founder used to play “wedding” with, Lis and Simon. Proof that childhood dreams do come true.

Our ideal bride is the independent bride; a bride who is elegant, sophisticated and has an amazing Spotify playlist with all genres of music and she’ll probably have a dessert bar at the wedding.

What new designs are you excited about?
We still love the trends of low necklines, open backs and fun laces. We’re excited that the minimalist trend is coming back. You’ll have to wait and see what we come up with when our 2021 collection debuts.
