Calgary photography blog

I feel like I should blow out some candles or do a little happy dance this morning because this (drumroll please), is my 1000th blog post.  Phwew, that’s a lot of writing and a lot of photographs.  It also represents a lot of learning and hours spent perfecting my craft.  I feel like the blog has evolved into more than a Calgary photography blog.  Yes, I’ve posted weddings, engagements and portraits from my wonderful clients, but I’ve worked hard to provide inspiring, original content, ranging from wedding fashions (and shoes, let’s be honest) to creative ways to celebrate with your bridesmaids.  I hope that after reading my blog posts, brides come away with one idea each day that inspires them.

I’ve also put a major focus on networking with many local businesses.  Our city is filled with talented creatives and entrepreneurs that I adore spending time with.  Without them, I wouldn’t have been able to provide the “original content” that I mentioned before.  I feel like brides should get to know them too.  Most recently, I featured one of Calgary’s newest bridal boutiques, Pearl & Dot.  I hope you’ll come back soon as I’ll be launching my Calgary wedding venue page with info on some of my favourite local wedding locales.

And while this isn’t a wedding photo, it takes me way back to where it all began…

I’ve come a long way since my first blog post but these four kiddos (my niece and nephews) continue to be my favourites.  A big thank you to my readers for joining me on this journey.
