A big congratulations to all of the graduating students out there. You did it! I’m sure you had big plans that involved gowns, limos and celebrations with friends. No doubt COVID-19 has thrown a wrench into your plans but, here are a few tips for making your graduation extra special.
Book Calgary grad photos
Don’t let this important milestone go by without capturing it on camera. From now until the end of July, I’m offering a special package for graduates and their families. The package includes:
-
- Up to 1.5 hrs of photography at a location of your choice.
- High-resolution images uploaded to an online gallery. Expect approximately 75 images from your session.
- $650 plus gst
If you have questions, I’d love to hear from you.
Book headshots only
If you’d like something more simple, consider a headshot package which includes:
-
- A 30-minute session with the graduate (headshot sessions are limited to one individual)
- $250 session fee is required to secure your booking. Session fees do NOT include images online or otherwise
- Expect approximately 15-25 images to choose from
- High-resolution images can be purchased for $25 each or $100 for 5 images
Contact the studio for more information.
Wear a cap & gown
Be sure to get some photographs with your cap and gown. This is one of those times where you simply MUST throw your cap up in the air, even if it’s not surrounded by all of your friends. Pre-COVID, this was typically arranged by your school but some of my grads are arranging their own caps and gowns through Canadian Caps & Gowns.
Let’s see your grad outfit
You spent all of that time and money picking out the perfect grad outfit, let’s be sure to capture it. In Calgary, the Peace Bridge is a popular spot for grads but I’m happy to make other location recommendations as well.
Make your Mom happy
She’s usually the person behind the camera so be sure to get photos with your family at this important time. We’ll be sure to be mindful of social distancing requirements and guidelines for group gatherings.
If you want to make Mom really happy, take this opportunity to update your family photos.
Make it special
I’ve seen so many fun ideas for planning a noteworthy graduation party. Check out a few online resources including Martha Stewart, for ideas on adding a little pomp and circumstance to the day. How cute is this grad with her balloon bouquet?
I’d love to chat with you about options for your graduate. Give me a shout!
Here’s a family portrait session at Sandy Beach, if you’d like to see.
