Winter wedding inspiration

A few words on winter wedding inspiration from Janelle of Flowers by Janie

My inspiration for this winter project was our new studio space and the fact that it is a blank canvas with pretty windows and natural light.  I wanted to use berry-inspired tones including plums, peaches, reds and burgundy.  These blended softly with green, ivory and grey, resulting in a modern take on the traditional Christmas wedding colours of red and green. Because the space was so clean and neutral I wanted the warmth, colour & texture to come from the floral arrangements and place settings. Finally, the chandelier added the romance.  Beautiful, dazzling chandeliers hang in the studio so I was hoping they would be a centrepiece for the shoot that day.

Kudos to Evelyn from Evelyn Clark Weddings for effortlessly combining sparkle and colourful tones that pop perfectly against the airy atmosphere of the new studio space.

A winter bride

The snow is deep on the ground.
Always the light falls
Softly down on the hair of my beloved.
