Three reasons to get married in the Rockies

As a native Calgarian, I’ve lived next door to the mountains for most of my life and I thought it would be fun to put together my top three reasons to get married in the Rockies.  Technically I have more than three, but as the saying goes, good things come in threes.

The Majestic Rocky Mountains

Let’s start with the pure majesty of the Canadian Rocky Mountains.   One glimpse of the turquoise waters of Moraine Lake or the jagged peaks around Lake Minnewanka and you’ll be convinced.  There are so many unique and breathtaking spots to get married during any season.  I feel so fortunate to live so close to this little slice of heaven.

Silvertip Resort in Canmore is a favorite of mine with jaw-dropping vistas of the Bow Valley.  Maybe eloping on a mountaintop is more your style?  I’d love to chat with you about my elopement package options.

Currency Exchange Rates

Lastly, for American couples planning a destination getaway, the math is very much in your favour.  As of 21-May-2020, every US dollar is worth approximately 1.40 Canadian dollars.  For example, if you have a budget of $10,000 to spend on a wedding getaway, that will convert to $14,000 Canadian dollars.  Disclaimer:  refer to a currency conversion site for the most up-to-date information.
