ENDURING LOVE

Photographers in Banff

October 17, 2014

This shoot started when Theresa at A Vintage Affair showed me their collection of veils.  They have a closet full of treasures from the 1920’s to 1970’s but in my opinion, bridal veils really do transcend time and trends. I love photographing a bride, enveloped in tulle with the sun streaming through.

For this shoot, we decided to keep the focus on the veils, so we dressed our model Anastassiya, in feminine slips and lounge wear.  Layers of jewelry pieces, old and new, were added.

The Canadian Rocky Mountains around Banff, Alberta were the perfect backdrop. I love the contrast between our beautiful bride, sensual in her veils, set against the rugged shores of Lake Minnewanka and the emerald waters of the Bow River.
