Today I’ve got a Calgary wedding photography sneak peek for you. Samantha & Peter tied the knot in High River and started my 2014 wedding season off with a bang. In true Kate Spade style, Samantha included bows, polka dots and bright pops of colour into every detail of their day. The couple and their families worked tirelessly to make this DIY affair pretty and personal. Samantha and Peter…mission accomplished!
If you’ve been following along on the blog, Samantha and Peter agreed to share their wedding photography experience on the blog. We saw them select their wedding photography package, plan for their Lake Louise engagement session and view their winter engagement session in the studio.
The handsome groom waiting for his bride at the Museum of the Highwood, a former train station in High River.
The train platform of the museum made the perfect back drop for their “first look”. I loved Peter’s emotional response to seeing Samantha for the first time. He told me “I could feel her coming”. Can you say goosebumps?
Samantha’s beautiful bouquet of loose florals was by Fleurish Flower Shop. It’s always a delight to see peonies in season. Samantha wore an ethereal, custom gown from The Bragging Bride in Inglewood.
The gorgeous bride taking advantage of a windy, Alberta day. True story…Samantha brought along a bag of tricks for their portrait session which included a polka dot shrug, vintage gloves, a pretty scarf and a Kate Spade umbrella. She was definitely a bride after my own heart.
A few quirky details courtesy of the groom and his groomsmen. This cute stool came from my favourite vintage shop, A Vintage Affair.
The bride and groom with an adorable, young guest!
You’re going to want to stop by soon for more images from Samantha and Pete’s happy nuptials.
