A few words on winter wedding inspiration from Janelle of Flowers by Janie…
My inspiration for this winter project was our new studio space and the fact that it is a blank canvas with pretty windows and natural light. I wanted to use berry-inspired tones including plums, peaches, reds and burgundy. These blended softly with green, ivory and grey, resulting in a modern take on the traditional Christmas wedding colours of red and green. Because the space was so clean and neutral I wanted the warmth, colour & texture to come from the floral arrangements and place settings. Finally, the chandelier added the romance. Beautiful, dazzling chandeliers hang in the studio so I was hoping they would be a centrepiece for the shoot that day.
A winter bride
Always the light falls
Softly down on the hair of my beloved.
