DIANA & ROMIL
The wedding also highlighted meaningful traditions, like Romil’s family singing a Luhya folk song and laying out a traditional cloth (leso) for Diana.
The result was a heartfelt and visually stunning celebration that honoured their past while embracing and celebrating their shared future.

Diana and Romil’s four-day Indian fusion wedding in Calgary in spring 2025 was a vibrant celebration blending their Kenyan and Indian heritages, along with Western influences. Held across multiple venues, their wedding featured seven distinct events, each rich with tradition, colour, and cultural significance.
The couple intentionally honoured their families by incorporating elements like the Mehndi ceremony, Haldi ritual, a Christian wedding, and a Hindu ceremony, all while fusing customs from both cultures.
