I hope you’re cozy and warm as you’re scrolling through this post about my winter Hayley Paige bride, Lindsay. She wore the dreamiest ball gown, with layers of dove grey tulle, sprinkled in stars. “Lumi” by Hayley Paige is elegant and dramatic and perfect for winter I Do’s.
Winter Hayley Paige bride in “Lumi”
It was sooo cold that day. I do love a winter bride who’s willing to tough it out for beautiful pictures that will last a lifetime. As I look at these images (and remember the cold), I can’t help but think of a poem I once read by Margaret Atwood, Habitation.
Marriage is not
a house, or even a tent
it is before that, and colder:
the edge of the forest, the edge
of the desert
the unpainted stairs
at the back, where we squat
outdoors, eating popcorn
where painfully and with wonder
at having survived
this far
we are learning to make fire
It’s no secret that I’m a big fan of Hayley Paige gowns. They’re feminine and edgy, all at the same time. I photographed bride Debol at Moraine Lake in blush pink Hayley Paige. Janelle renewed her vows in a winter ceremony at Spray Lakes wearing Hayley Paige too.
