Details on the Fall Photoshoot in Calgary

If you’re new here, hello! My name is Tara Whittaker and I’m a professional photographer in Calgary and neighbouring areas with over 15 years of experience, including photographing families for mini sessions throughout the seasons.

Fun fact, Autumn is my favourite season to shoot minis in! These minis are great for folks wanting to soak up the fall colour and update their family photos at the same time for a great value. These sessions are designed to be short, sweet and stress-free — great for newborns, families, friends, couples, and more!

Planning your Fall Mini Sessions in 2026

I’ll be keeping my eye on the fall foliage and will choose the exact locations in the parks closer to the
date. For now, here’s what you need to know:

Photoshoot dates: Sunday, September 13th — Nose Hill Park | Sunday, September 20th — Fish Creek park

• Each 30-minute session includes 10 high-resolution images (including colour and black & white photos) provided in an online gallery with full printing permissions. Extra images available for purchase.
• Each session is $295 + GST.
• We can accommodate groups of up to 6 + pets.

What to wear:

• Do coordinate your outfits but don’t be matchy-matchy.
• Choose colours that complement each other.
• Avoid clothing with busy patterns or logos.

What about the weather?

Fall weather in Calgary can be temperamental. Here is how we’ll handle it if the weather doesn’t cooperate:

• I will offer alternative dates, subject to availability.
• You will have the option of receiving a credit towards our indoor Holiday Minis on 1-Nov-2026 at the Studios at Vic Park. You’ll find all of the details for our Holiday Minis here.
• Alternatively, you will receive a credit that may be applied to a future photography session.
