This is a photo from a fall trip to Kelowna. In all of my trips to Kelowna, I have never visited the Father Pandosy Mission before. What a great place with amazing backdrops for photo shoots. We happened to catch it on a beautiful fall day with beautiful light. This is light reflected through the window of the “Brother’s House” which housed antique washing machines, cream separators etc.
At the stroke of midnight…
Last night I did an impromptu photo shoot of my brother’s family. In keeping with the season, I thought it would be fun to incorporate pumpkins into the shoot and boy, was I right. Here are some facts about pumpkins at photo shoots—they’re heavy, they roll and they will not sustain a fall from a porch, 4 feet off of the ground.
This was a timely shoot because I was wondering what to use for my very first blog entry for Tara Whittaker Photography. Welcome! The development of this new site has been an adventure and I’m so pleased with the results. Many thanks to Michelle Williamson of Command Create for her patience and creativity. Enjoy!
