Today I’m taking a little departure from weddings to celebrate all things blue, including the start of the 2026 Blue Jays baseball season. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that I’m a superfan of the Jays. After getting completely swept up by the excitement of the 2025 post-season run, my Dad and I went all in and purchased season tickets. We’re devoted fans but because we’re based in Calgary, we won’t be able to attend all 81 games. So, we’re putting it out there – we have Blue Jays baseball tickets for sale. We’re not scalpers! We’re just hoping fellow baseball lovers can enjoy our seats when we can’t. Our two seats are located right at first base in the 200 level with an excellent view of Vladdy Guerrero Jr in action.

“How can you not be romantic about baseball”?

Here’s my personal Blue Jays story. My Dad moved in with me after my Mom passed away and he brought his love of sports with him. As a former athlete himself, my Dad is an avid sports fan (pretty much all sports). I would be editing upstairs in my office and he would be texting me about game scores from the TV room. I had pangs of guilt about not spending time with my Dad so I began to join him for games. I tried watching football, hockey, golf, curling but baseball, that stuck.

Then 2015 rolled around and things really got interesting. The Blue Jays signed Troy Tulowitzki and David Price at the trade deadline and I remember my Dad saying “I think they’re going to make the playoffs.” We decided at that time to hop on a plane and see the Jays in action. If you were a fan in 2015, you know that the Toronto was electric with excitement and they did indeed make the playoffs.

From that point on, I was hooked. We began a stadium tour, following the Blue Jays around the US and Canada. So far, we’ve visited 11 stadiums together and we’ve been at some memorable games including the dust-up between Jose Bautista and Rougned Odor in Arlington. We watched with pounding hearts in 2025 as our boys captured a whole nation during the World Series run. Most recently, we attended Opening Day 2026 and sat in our new seats!
