Best wedding songs

I don’t know about you but music is like my own personal time machine.  I have so many great memories attached to songs.  As a kid, I attended my cousin’s wedding and I’ll never forget she and her new hubby dancing to Spandau Ballet, True.  I thought it was the most romantic thing I’d ever seen.  For fun, I’m taking a look back at a few of the best wedding songs, as selected by my past clients (and they have great taste).

One of the more unique first dance songs I’ve heard was when Krista married James at Contemporary Calgary wedding.  Glen Campbell’s Wichita Lineman had special meaning for the groom.

Deb & Mike swayed to Neil Young’s Harvest Moon during their barn wedding.

After a ceremony at Priddis Greens, Sarah and Bryce kicked off their wedding reception with a first dance to Blake Shelton’s God Gave Me You.  To this day, I think of them when I’m driving down Deerfoot and this song comes on the radio.

At their Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel nuptials, Gabrielle and Randy wowed their guests with a choreographed dance to Steve Tyrell’s rendition of The Way You Look Tonight.  There’s nothing like a classic.

I would have to say though, that my favourite first dance song so far has been Keith Urban’s, Your Everything.  It was the perfect choice when Katie and Chris were married at Spruce Meadows.
