Maybe it’s just because this winter seems to be interminable, but I have been loving the sight of tulips lately. They epitomize the season, so spring brides, why not carry tulip wedding bouquets? At a recent photo shoot with A Vintage Affair, our bride Nicole, carried a handful of simple stems.
Tulip wedding bouquets
To quote Martha Stewart Weddings…friendly, irrepressible tulips have long been among the most cherished of blooms. With their affinity for mixing and matching, their ability to reproduce in almost any color (except blue), and their year-round availability, it’s hard to imagine a better flower for a wedding.
I love the rush of colour these raspberry-hued blooms add to a beaded handbag from A Vintage Affair. What a fresh alternative to a traditional wedding bouquet!
Bundles of tulips, plucked from a market stall and wrapped in brown paper, would make vibrant decor and colourful wedding favours.
