Tara’s travels – Victoria by iphone

The rain today reminded me of our quick trip to Victoria last week. It was rainy but lovely. I took a bit of a break from the “big” camera and documented a few of my favourite spots with my iphone. The Empress of course…

Those that know me, know that I’m a snob about two things in this world, one is tea. Our silver, tea tray at Murchie’s. Yum!

I completely sold on loose leaf tea from Murchie’s. No. 10 Blend is my fav!

We made a quick stop in Munro’s books. I love the smell in there. Can’t get that on an ipad.

We bought a few souvenirs at Rogers’ Chocolates.

Had a wonderful dinner at Il Terrazzo. I forgot to take a photo, but had a tasty lunch at Rebar too. Highly recommended on Bastion Square.

We hopped on a ferry to take in the Salt Spring Island market.

So the second thing I’m a snob about is soap. Ten years ago, I was introduced to Kama Natural Soap from Salt Spring Island and I haven’t used anything else since.

We tried almost every variety of Salt Spring Island cheese but finally decided on Chili Feta.

A sampling from Laughing Daughters Bakery.

A little rain didn’t prevent a little relaxation.
