Happy Mother’s Day to all of the Mama’s out there. To honour the Moms, I thought it would fun to share a few of my favourite, family portraits from weddings I have photographed. As I began sorting through my archives, I discovered that my favourite images are usually the stolen moments. I still take the family group shots but these candid photographs really take the cake. This sweet image between Katie and her Mom is one of my all-time favourites. Her Mom put the finishing touches on Katie’s sash before her Spruce Meadows wedding to Chris.
And speaking of Mother’s Day, a big congratulations to Katie and Chris who have a new baby girl this week!
Here’s one happy Mama as Krista prepares to marry Jeremy at their Delta Kananaskis wedding.
I’m a huge fan of photographing hands. They tell such a story. Krista requested a ring shot with her Mom and Grandma.
Family Portraits
I love this shot of the proud Moms (and Dads) as they stand during the ceremony and bless Katie and Chris’ marriage.
There were lots of laughs at Katherine and Tyler’s Heritage Park Wedding. Like Mother, like Daughter!!
We definitely know where Francis got his moves. Chichi and Francis’ wedding was filled with Nigerian culture, tradition…and dancing!
I came across this squishy sequence between a Mother & Daughter on the dance floor and had to include it. Krista’s adorable niece was the flower girl at her Art Gallery of Calgary (now Contemporary Calgary) wedding to James.
Have a wonderful weekend and be good to your Mother!
