I was privileged to be one of many volunteers that welcomed everyone back to the Drop-In Centre on Wednesday evening. As you know, the DI had been evacuated and temporarily moved to a hotel in the NE. A team from CSC prepared and served a hot, chicken dinner. I heard through the grapevine that a local farmer donated 200 chickens for the meal. I love hearing about generosity like that. I so enjoyed having the opportunity to chat with a few of the clients and hear from their point-of-view, how things went during the crisis.
