If you’re getting married and not quite sure where to start, Engaged is the Calgary wedding show you won’t want to miss. I’m excited to participate in this innovative event for discerning couples designed by two Calgary wedding planners.
Engaged is a purpose driven event that redefines the traditional trade show as an interactive experience for couples to plan their wedding together, topped off with a faux reception gala immersing you in your dream wedding.
Kick things off with a glass of prosecco and a wedding planning guide, ideal for I Do’s in Calgary and the Rockies. This guide contains vendor recommendations (including some of my favs like Blush & Raven boutique, Modern Luxe Rentals, Something Borrowed Beauty, Pink Umbrella Designs, Silvertip, and Special Event Rentals). Inside you’ll also find tips for establishing your wedding timeline and outlining a budget for the big day.
What to expect at Engaged – A Calgary wedding show
With your guide in hand you’ll move on to the Core Vendor area and meet with business owners (like me). I’ve got brand new albums to show you and I’d love to hear more about your day.
The Inspiration Showcase is next and prepare to be BLOWN AWAY. A little birdie tells me to expect sparkling chandeliers, dreamy table scapes and beautiful blooms. Here you can top up your drink at the cash bar, pop into the photo booth and get a few pointers from a professional dance instructor.
Finally, stop by the Marketplace where they’re offering dress and suit consultations, hair and make-up trials, hot shaves and food and beverage tastings.
In the evening, come back for a six-course Gala Dinner featuring Jazz Singer, Deanne Matley. Following a fun dance lesson with dance instructor Christine Mooney, you can dance the night away. The DJ will be spinning well past midnight.​ See what I mean, this is not your average Calgary wedding show.
