Maybe it’s because my sweet tooth wasn’t quite satisfied on Valentine’s Day, but as I scrolled through my archives recently, I noticed that I have quite the collection of wedding cake images. I thought it would be fun to share 10 of my best wedding cakes. Before I do that, here’s a little wedding cake trivia. Did you know that dating as far back as the early 17th century, single girls would take home a slice of wedding cake and sleep with it under their pillows? The superstition held that the cake would cause them to dream of their future spouses. I’m just sayin’.

If you’re looking for a wedding cake alternative, try a dessert buffet. Sweet Treats provided all of the delights for this vintage wedding at the Delta Lodge at Kananaskis.
The pastry team at the Fairmont Banff Springs hotel provided individual wedding cakes for each of the guests at Randy & Gabrielle’s elegant affair.
