1920's wedding inspiration - Tara Whittaker Photography

After the Downton Abbey shoot was posted on the blog, I’ve had a number of people ask about about sources for 1920’s-inspired fashion. The dress we used for the shoot was found at an estate sale (and is actually for sale here), but fashions from that era are difficult to find. For vintage finds in Calgary, I always recommend A Vintage Affair. They are a great vintage pop-up and are currently located 638 11th Ave SW, Calgary.

There are also so many online stores now that offer modern fashions with a nod to a previous era – stores like BHLDN, Ruche Bridal, and many vendors on Etsy. I spent some time online and look at what I found for a bride with an eye for the past.
